Burnt grease will ‘melt off’ pans naturally with cleaning fan’s secret solution

Stubborn burnt grease on oven trays is a common nuisance for many home cooks.

Over time, baked-on grease and food residue can form a tough, sticky layer that seems impossible to remove, even with scrubbing.

Traditional cleaning products can sometimes fall short, leaving trays looking grimy and worn.

Thankfully, cleaning influencer Lese Mmolotsi shared a simple and natural hack to remove burnt grease.

In a recent video shared on Instagram, Mmolotsi demonstrated how to quickly remove stubborn burnt grease using baking soda, lemon juice, hot water, and aluminum foil.

Here’s her step-by-step guide:

Create a Ball of Aluminium Foil: Tear off a piece of aluminium foil and crumple it into a ball. This will serve as your scrubber.

Sprinkle Baking Soda: Cover the burnt areas of your oven pan with a generous amount of baking soda, known for its natural abrasive properties.

Add Lemon Juice: Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice over the baking soda. The acid from the lemon helps to break down the grease and grime while also adding a fresh scent.

Hot Water: Pour a small amount of hot water over the mixture. This will activate the baking soda and help loosen the grease.

Scrub with the Foil: Using the aluminium foil ball, gently scrub the pan in circular motions. The foil’s texture helps lift the burnt grease without scratching the surface of the pan.

Mmolotsi added that all the ingredients used in this hack are household staples, making it not only affordable but also environmentally friendly.

“There’s no need to buy expensive products when you have everything you need right in your kitchen,” she said.

Her fans have praised the tip, sharing their own success stories in the comments.

“Tried it on my baking tray, and it’s never looked better!” one follower said.

Another added: “It’s so satisfying when natural methods work!”
