Amazon is kicking off October with a big sale bonanza known as Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. The October Prime Day sale has taken place annually since 2022 and in 2024 shoppers can expect more of the same deals on tech, appliances, household goods, beauty and more.

The Prime Day event is exclusive to Amazon Prime subscribers, and it is likely to be one of Amazon’s biggest sales events in 2024. The next major sale even won’t happen until November’s Black Friday.

Although the sale doesn’t kick off until October 8th, Amazon has already released a host of early deals – and the great news is you don’t even need to be a Prime Member to enjoy many of these offers. 

For a limited time you get to pop a Fire TV Stick in your online shopping basket for as little as £16.99 – that’s a whopping 62 percent off the usual £44.99 price and the lowest cost yet – according to tracking site CamelCamelCamel.

Amazon has just announced a new version of its cheapest colour-screen tablet, the Fire HD 8, but the biggest surprise is the price.The new Fire HD 8 is half price at £49.99, down from £99.99, for the 32GB model. Amazon has slashed the cost of its new tablet for two weeks, with the deal ending on 16 October at 8:55am.

Amazon is currently offering one of its own-brand Fire TVs at its lowest ever price. In fact, this very smart telly is now so cheap Amazon is only letting you buy one of them. The limited-time deal will bag you a Fire TV 2-Series for just £139 with Amazing confirming it has limited stock.

Amazon is also selling several of its other Smart TVs for a vastly reduced price. 

Shoppers have raved about a budget Bluetooth speaker that lasts them years with plenty of volume – and now it’s even cheaper on Amazon.

It’s the Anker Soundcore Bluetooth Speaker, which boasts 24 hours of worry-free battery life and stereo sound with deep bass to deliver “clarity and zero distortion”. Originally priced at £31.99, Amazon is offering discounts ahead of the Prime Big Deal Days and has dropped it to £19.99.

VR headsets can seem like a luxury for most – especially with the massive price tags that they can come with but if payday has come around and you fancy jumping in, Amazon has an offer that might be too good to not jump on.

That’s because you can get the Meta Quest 3 on Amazon for £469 – a big price drop on one of the best VR headsets on the market considering it normally retails at £619.99. 

It’s the most powerful Quest yet, featuring next-level performance with more than double the graphic processing power of Quest 2 with the ability to play games, watch movies and more. You’ll also get Batman: Arkham Shadow included with the purchase of the headset and a 3-month subscription trial of Meta Quest+ is included with the purchase. 

The Breville HotCup Hot Water Dispenser is a money-saving alternative to the traditional kettle which boasts savings of up to 60 percent compared to using a standard kettle. 

Lifestyle shopping writer Lucy Addicott put the HotCup to the test and described it as a “revelation”. While the original price tag was £47.99, Amazon’s currently offering this nifty device for £40.

The Fitbit Sense 2 is a whole £90 cheaper than its usual £269.99 price, the Prime retailer is offering the iOS and Android-compatible model for £178.99. When you look up prices of the newest Apple Watch Series 10 or Galaxy Watch 7 the price feels world’s away, and despite its rather affordable price tag it doesn’t scrimp too dramatically on features either.

Amazon has cut the price of Samsung’s latest Galaxy earbuds, which shoppers have praised as ‘superb’. The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are now available for £169, a saving of £50 from the usual £219 ahead of Amazon’s Prime deals event.

In the lead-up to Amazon Big Deals Days, there is a special deal on the popular Echo Dot 5th Gen which is now at one of its lowest-ever prices. This clever speaker has been reduced to just £22 – that’s over 50 percent off the standard price.

If that sounds too pricey then the Echo Pop is even cheaper with that device currently available for just £19.99.

The 4.4 star rated Hisense Freestanding 9kg Washing Machine has been slashed ahead of Amazon’s Big Deals Days.

The washing machine’s full price price is normally £329.99, but Amazon has slashed a handy £30 off, taking it down to £299 – this is for the 9kg capacity model, and just the washer (as opposed to a washer dryer).

Tapo’s LED Strip Lights are perfect for cosy winter evenings and are currently discounted ahead of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days too, taking the price down to £14.99 rather than the usual £22.99, so now is a great time to pick them up.

The advanced version is a bit pricier at £34.99, down from £44.99, boasting additional features like more detailed colours. 

Ahead of Prime Big Deals Days, Amazon has slashed the price of the Philips Electric Shaver 3000 Series from £199.99 down to £52.99.

That’s a massive cut of over half price – but the deal likely won’t last long, so you’ll have to act fast to jump on it.

Amazon’s Sperax Walking Pad Treadmill has been reduced from £299.99 to £229.99, giving you a lovely £70 saving ahead of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2024.

The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale is a two-day event for Amazon Prime members offering plenty of deals and discounts in October. The event is almost like a warm-up for the biggest event of the year – Black Friday. It’s also a great opportunity for people to make a start on Christmas shopping or save on bestselling tech. 

Amazon has confirmed that its Prime Big Deal Days will begin on Tuesday 8 October 2024 and last through to 11:59pm on Wednesday 9 October. This gives shoppers two full days to make the most of some savvy savings. 

In the run-up to Amazon Prime Big Deal Days there are countless early deals to enjoy and the best part is you don’t need to be a Prime member to enjoy them.

But, if you want to make the most of these amazing deals then it’s well worth signing up for an Amazon Prime membership. 

Deals will not be released until the big sale event, however, as is often the case with Amazon events, some of the best deals and savings will be on Amazon’s own devices. Deals are likely to cover the Echo pop and Kindles. 

Amazon has already released a host of early deals and savings, with discounts on its Kindle tablets and Fire TV Sticks for a cut of their usual price. In previous years, Amazon has slashed bestselling tech by up to 60 percent – so there’s likely more of that to come this year.
